Shower for Tara's 1st Baby GIRL!!!!

Several weeks ago I hosted a shower for my sister Tara.  She is expecting her first GIRL after having had 5 precious boys.  She is due 5 weeks after I am due with Amelia.  The shower was held at a woman's home from their church.  I had so much fun planning and looking all over pinterest for fun shower ideas!  It think it turned out really cute and was a great celebration to help celebrate the upcoming arrival of my new niece, Eliana Alison!
Pink Lemonade
Activity - Making an ABC book for Eliana. Each person chose a letter of the alphabet and illustrated a page to go into her book.

Jeweled pink forks

Hot Chocolate since it was a cold afternoon - with pink sprinkles of course!

All things girly - baby dolls, bows, tutus

We asked that each person brought an unwrapped bow for the new baby girl.  They were added to Eliana's bow holder frame.  By the end of the shower this was overflowing with bows.  They wouldn't even all fit on it!

Party favors - PINK nail polish

Amelia's Nursery - Sneak Peak

Several weeks back we added a pink room in our house!  One afternoon we put Jack down for his nap with a white guest room then about 3.5 hours later Jack woke up and we amazingly had a completed paint job and a pink nursery!
A few weekends later we put Amelia's new white crib together.
We joke (although I guess it is actually true) that this was Amelia's first time in her crib! Ha!

Baby "Sprinkle"

This past Sunday evening I had a baby "sprinkle" with the girls from my bible fellowship class.  It has become the tradition that for each new baby (after your first baby) instead of having a shower at someones house, everyone just meets at a restaurant to celebrate the new addition.  I chose to go to La Madeleine, one of my favorite girl spots to eat.
These were the centerpieces on some of the tables.
Attached to each flower arrangement was a precious bible verse.

 Gifts
 Molly, Cassandra & Amy
 Jenny, Emily,  Amanda, & Sharon
 Erin, Alisa, Stephanie & Amy
 My Mom, Tara & I
 Time to open some presents!

Headbands in just about every color!

I'm so thankful for these girls that took the time to come celebrate Amelia's upcoming arrival with me and for the fun times we can have together with our children during these early stages in raising our kids.  They are all a real blessing!

Ice Cream Treat

We took Jack out for an ice cream treat one evening after dinner (ok, I really was the one wanting to go have some yummy ice cream), but these boys sure enjoyed it too!
Jack got his very own little man ice cream cone.  He was an ice cream covered mess by the time he was finished, but it was worth it!
 My ice cream man :-)
Wow, that was a lot of ice cream.  But let me tell you I had zero problem eating every single bite.

A Visit from GramPam & Pa-Pa

Towards the beginning of September we had a visit from the grandparents!  Jack sure had fun with them!
 Story ime with Pa-Pa
Resting on the perfectly sized ledge on the stairs
 Playing with GramPam
Dinner with the cousins, Preston and Mackenzie.  How is my baby boy old enough to actually join in at the kids table?!?!
 Celebrating the birthday girl, Mackenzie!
Jack trying on big kid sunglasses
 Playing peek-a-boo with Java...
...and now using Java as a tunnel.  Java makes a good playmate for Jack!
Storytime with GramPam.  They read so many stories over and over and over again.

Baby GIRL Shower

This weekend my sister Tara and good friend Stefani threw a baby shower for Amelia and I!  It was so pink and girly!

Each person wrote a prayer or blessing on a cross for Amelia and/or I as a keepsake.

While at the shower each person tied strips of material onto this wreath that will hang on the hospital room door when Amelia is born, then it will hang in her bedroom. On it, it has her initial "A" and a star where we will write all her birth information (birth date, time, weight, height.)  The final product picture is below.
Soft pink blankets my mom (Mom-mom) made for Amelia.
 Precious little outfit
 Amelia's first doll!!!
A beautiful pink and white blanket my mother-in-law (GramPam) knit for Amelia.

I'm so thankful for all the family and friends that were able to come to the shower and help celebrate the upcoming arrival of our baby girl! Now it is time to start working on the nursery and get all these fun new gifts organized before Amelia arrives!
