2 Months Old

Jack,
You are 2 months old today! We can't believe what a wonderful little baby you have been for us! People are always asking how it is going with having a new baby around and mommy and daddy both are always thankful to tell them what an incredibly easy going and content baby you are. You have made this new role as Mom and Dad so enjoyable. We love every moment with you!
Love,
Mommy & Daddy
Baby Stats
Sleep: Jack has been going to sleep for the night around 9:30 or 10:30. He will sleep for 5-7 hours, eat, then go right back to sleep for another 3-4 hours. I am loving this! During the day his sleep pattern is always different. Many days he still sleeps for a good amount of time and others he has longer stretches of time awake.
Daily Routine: There is still no real routine yet for this little man. He is eating on demand. He falls asleep all throughout the day. He loves play time on the floor, being cuddled by mom and dad, going for walks outside in the stroller or in the moby wrap. He is still just a very content and easy going baby.
Feed: He tends to nurse every 3 hours during the day, give or take 30 minutes or so. When he nurses, he will eat for about 10-20 minutes. When he has a bottle on occasion, he drinks around 4 oz.
Weigh: 11 lbs (with clothes on) We will get a real weight on Monday at his 2 month check-up.
Length: approx. 23 inches
Diaper size: size 1
Clothes size: 0-3 months
Hair color: Jack's hair is a light brown color. The lower back part of his head has a lot of hair. He doesn't have too much on the top part of his head. I always joke that he looks a little bit like an old mans bald head with hair around the sides of his head but not on top. Ha!
Eye color: They are getting to be a lighter blue color everyday- just like mommy and daddy's!
Special Moments: Rocking Jack while he sleeps on my chest. Hearing Jack giggle in his bassinet around 4am in the morning and looking at his big smiles when he wakes up after his long stretch of sleep during the night. Playing dress up with my little doll (Jack) each day. Watching Jack just stare at his daddy and follow him with his eyes all around the room.

Splish-Splash

Jack is still loving bath time! Such a sweet smile
8 weeks old

Silly boy! During a good portion of his bath he holds up his right hand in the air. Is this his way of telling us, "Don't forget to clean under my arms!"

Jack's 1st Trip to visit GramPam and Pa-Pa

At 8 weeks old we took Jack on his first road trip to visit GramPam and Pa-Pa in Houston. Jack did great in the car! He slept the whole time. I had to wake him up to feed him half way there. Here is Jack's reaction when we told him we were leaving to visit GramPam and Pa-Pa!
For the long car ride he wore this shirt that says "Backseat Driver."
All buckled in and ready to go!
We made it!

Happy Birthday, Pa-Pa! This shirt says "Cuter Than The Dog"
Barrett, Preston, Jack, and Brantley
We took Jack to church. He slept through the whole service! I guess that is frowned upon when you are older, but at 8 weeks old it is a very good thing!
Kisses from Dad
Jack's cousins Preston and Mackenzie were great helpers taking care of Jack over the weekend.

8 Weeks Old

Our sweet baby Jack is now 8 weeks old! He is growing closer to being a little boy each day. Jack has been sleeping 5-7 hours straight each night, eating, then going right back to sleep for 3-4 hours after that. This week he has really begun to enjoy time lying down on the floor playing versus being held. He still has his times he likes to cuddle which Mommy loves too! 8 weeks old
Jacks friend Zach came over to play again this week and will begin coming over for at least 1 day a week while his mommy goes to work. Jack and I are looking forward to playing with Zach each week.

I don't have a double stroller yet, so I resorted to using Jacks stroller for both the little guys so we could take a walk. They really enjoyed it! They both fell asleep and continued to enjoy an hour long walk on such a beautiful day.

1st Valentine's Day

Jack's 1st Valentine's Day
Happy Valentine's Day!
Our little valentine getting some kisses
xoxoxoxoxo
My 2 Valentines.
I love them both sooooooo much!!!!
I got these beautiful flowers from Barrett. They smell wonderful!!!! My honey also gave me a box of chocolates, a card with a sweet note written inside, and a date out to my favorite restaurant - Outback! My husband is the best!!!!!!!!

7 Weeks Old

Our little guy just keeps growing! He is 7 weeks old now (7 1/2 weeks now since I am a little late in posting this week.) Jack is still his calm (most of the time) and cute (all the time) self! A couple nights ago he went for a 7 hour stretch between feedings! What a treat that was. A normal night time stretch right now is about 5 hours. I had him weighed today. With his clothes on he was 11 lbs even. 7 Weeks Old
We had just come home from a Super Bowl party here. Jack had fun hanging out with Dad watching some of the game!
Mommy's monkey, once again sleeping with his arms all stretched out.
I love days like this with my snuggly little baby.

Holding mommy's finger
Jack still doesn't like wearing hats. This was Dad's solution on how to keep his head warm.
Silly guy!
Jack had his first trip to Chick-fil-A this weekend. They even gave him this little cow as a keepsake.

Bath time
All dressed for Church.

Jack LOVES to look at his Daddy. His eyes will just follow Dad wherever he goes in the room. It looks like he is going to be a Daddy's boy!

6 Weeks Old

Our baby boy is 6 weeks old today! Look how he has grown! 6 weeks old. Jack is wearing shoes I made for him before he was born.
Ready to roll.... ...over!!!
With the cold weather outside we have kept Jack bundled up nice and warm with a hat and glove mittens. Here he is taking a nap on the boppy pillow with his hands raised high in the air - the way he loves to sleep.
I love this view! Look at those sock covered hands. I would think sleeping with my hands like this would be uncomfortable, but Jack loves it!
We took Jack out in the snow (once it started melting so it wasn't so cold outside.) He still wasn't the biggest fan. He is just like his Daddy - he doesn't like the cold!
After being stuck in the house all week due to the ice outside, Jack (and I) thought Mommy needed a date night with her 2 favorite boys. We had a great dinner out on Saturday night. Mexican food!!!! Yum!
Jack had his first trip to the library this week. He was asleep for the whole thing but I was sure to get him some books and Cd's to enjoy at home.
Looking at his new library books.
All worn out from being a busy 6 week old little man!

Well Below Freezing Outside!

My, oh, my! What is it with this Texas weather? Just this weekend it was a beautiful 70 degrees outside. Now it is 14 degrees outside!!!! The ice and snow blew into town early Tuesday morning and the temperature has been dropping since. School in the area has been cancelled now 2 days in a row. We are enjoying some cozy warm days inside (that is at least when the power/heat is on - rolling blackouts are going on here in the state of Texas.) We couldn't leave the house if we wanted to since our drive way is a nice ice rink right now. Jack is staying cuddled up nice and warm with this blanket his GramPam knit for him.
Jack loves sitting by the fire place looking at the fire. He can't take his eyes off of it!

While keeping warm indoors, Mommy and baby made chocolate chip cookies. This moby wrap baby carrier is awesome!
Keeping warm by the fire - Daddy, Jack and Java.
Taking a nap in his bouncy seat by the fire side (my, do we love the fire place right now.) Keeping warm with his hat, blanket, and sock mittens on his hands.
