Early this morning Jack had his very first surgery. After having 5 ear infections in the last 2.5 months, it was time to have tubes put in.We arrived at the hospital at 6am. As you can see Jack was in a very happy mood, laughing a lot, holding his insurance card, and ready for his procedure....really he has no clue what was about to happen. We were very thankful for an early appointment and that he was so happy since he was not allowed to have anything to eat or drink since after midnight until the procedure was over. It really didn't effect him too much. When he got to his hospital bed there was a very cute teddy bear waiting for him with a get well note attached to it given to him by his doctor. How sweet is that?! He went in for his surgery right at 7am and by 7:05 the doctor was already out in the waiting room telling us that it was over and it went just fine. The doctor said he was able to get a lot of fluid out of his ear and that it had looked like it was on the verge of getting another infection. So the tubes really were a necessary thing! We are sure hoping that this solves his ear infection problems! We were out of the hospital by about 7:30 and back home by about 8am. Currently it is almost noon and Jack is still sound asleep from the car ride home. He must have been exhausted! Next we are off to the pharmacy to get his ear drop prescription.

Snack time for the kids
While getting ready the other day, I put some cheerios in a bowl for Jack to snack on. Of course snacks don't actually stay in an open bowl very long when you give it to a 14 month old. That's okay though. Java was able to help out and clean up the spill. She didn't mind one tiny bit! Java for sure has Jack figured out by this point. If he is given any type of food, she is close by to "help" with the cleaning if needed. The spill...
...and Java to the rescue!

Easter Brunch
Last weekend we had our bible fellowship class over for an Easter brunch and an egg hunt, story time, and craft for the kids. We had a great time! There were about 12 or so families that were able to make it. Each family brought a breakfast dish to share, so we had a lot of yummy food! Easter Story Time

Asleep in the Playroom
The last couple weeks we have been playing more and more in our upstairs playroom. Apparently Jack is liking it and it is wearing him out! 2 times recently he has just fallen asleep on the floor in the middle of playtime! Here he had fallen asleep in the reading corner while we were reading books.
He also fell asleep here right next to the couch.

Just Like Daddy
My boys are so sweet! Here is Jack with his arm around his Daddy as we were walking to the car after church one week. Love it!
Jack has this airplane costume that Mom-mom and Pepa gave him for Christmas. He hadn't been a big fan of wearing it until one day daddy wore it around his neck around the house for a few minutes. Suddenly wearing the airplane costume was a cool thing and Jack was happy to wear it!

Paci Prize
Projects
Here are a couple crafty things I have made in the past week or so: Spring Wreath made out of moss, fabric flowers, and a twig from our front yard (idea thanks to pinterest)
Signs to hang in the playroom
* Another project I am working on is a quiet book for Jack. A group of other girls and I are each making multiple pages for the book then we will trade out the pages with each other and have a book full of quiet activities for our kiddos to do when a quiet activity is necessary. I'll post pictures when finished.

Watch out Shoppers!
Look out world, Jack is on the loose doing his grocery shopping in this truck shopping cart! We tried out this cart for the first time. He was entertained for a few minutes but surprisingly didn't last too long. He preferred being in the regular sitting area up top.
Another day Jack took his buddy Zach on a field trip to the store. Not a bad way to travel with a friend.
